Ce magnifique puzzle a d'abord été découpé à la main par Mark sur une scie à chantourner, puis méticuleusement tracé à la main dans notre logiciel pour nous permettre de le produire sous forme découpée au laser - vous permettant de profiter d'un puzzle « découpé à la main » par un maître fabricant de puzzles pour une fraction du prix !

Fiona Smith, basée à Sydney, est l'artiste derrière ce superbe flamant rose - Fiona peint à l'huile depuis son studio à domicile, mais seulement lorsqu'elle n'est pas harcelée par les pies, les kookaburras, les oiseaux bouchers, les loriquets et le cacatoès solitaire qui passent quotidiennement !
Il n'est pas du tout incongru que mes oiseaux apparaissent dans des intérieurs. C'est ce qui se passe parfois chez Smith. Dans mes peintures, ils sont représentés dans des compositions domestiques de beaux objets sur des fonds richement ornés. Ces tableaux sont un pastiche de motifs que je trouve intéressants, issus d'époques passées, et de certaines de mes fascinations actuelles.

I've already got Nos 1 and 3 of the Artisan series. When they were both just out, I chose No 3 rather than this one as the image seemed more difficult. I think I was wrong - the flamingo itself and the tiled floor are fairly easy parts, but the rest has some very crafty cutting, and when solving without picture peeking, the repetition of colours and shapes in different areas, and the absence of consistent shapes like No 3's bottle tops, plus some crafty line cutting, make this a serious challenge. Based on one attempt at each one, 1 and 2 are just ahead of 3 for me. Part of my idea for my own jigsaw collection is variety of puzzles, so I'll be waiting a while before buying another Artisan, and picking one that looks nice and tough, with the toughness accompanied by entertainment. Mark Cappitella doesn't do many whimsies, but the ones in this puzzle are seriously clever, including the positioning in some cases - like the prawn (with antennae on a neighbouring piece) which the flamingo has in its bill. There's at least one other with positioning as part of the cleverness, but I'll leave you some things to discover.
The cut makes this puzzle and I'm not sure there is anybody cutting them right now better than Mark Capitella. Feels like you are doing a puzzle with a much higher piece count. Exceptional value. Would recommend to anyone playing the wooden puzzle game.
This is the next best thing to a handcut wooden puzzle, beautiful quality and the cut around rather than through shapes makes it an extra challenge. Have ordered the next in the Artisan series.

This is my first Victory puzzle and certainly not my last. I enjoyed putting this one together. The quality is top notch and the image is fantastic. This puzzle was worth every penny.
